Training & Certifications

I continue to engage in ongoing training and professional development to stay connected to current research, evolving therapeutic approaches, and practices that meaningfully support the people I work with.

My training includes:

  • Somatic EMDR (with Dr. Arielle Schwartz)

  • Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) – Foundational Training (Linehan Institute)

  • Radically Open DBT (RO-DBT)

  • Solution-Focused Brief Therapy

  • Therapeutic Yoga

  • Yoga Teacher (E-RYT 500)

  • Ongoing training in Eating Disorder Treatment, informed by Health at Every Size (HAES) and Intuitive Eating

How This Informs My Work

Each of these approaches offers a different lens — from working with the nervous system and the body, to building practical skills, to exploring patterns of thought, emotion, and behavior.

Rather than applying a single method, I integrate these perspectives in a way that is responsive to you.

This allows our work to be:

  • Grounded in evidence-based practices

  • Attuned to the body and lived experience

  • Flexible, depending on what you need at a given moment

The intention is not to apply techniques, but to support a process that feels meaningful, steady, and relevant to your life.

Additional Background

My path into this work has been shaped by a range of experiences that continue to inform how I understand people, systems, and healing.

Before becoming a therapist, I studied City Planning, with a focus on community-based approaches — an experience that deepened my understanding of how environments and systems shape our lives.

Earlier, I lived in China and Taiwan, where I taught English and worked as an actress. These experiences expanded my perspective on culture, identity, and communication.

Alongside this, I have been studying and practicing yoga and Chinese medicine for many years, and continue to integrate aspects of these traditions — including mindfulness, embodiment, and philosophical perspectives — into both my life and my work.
